Three Ways to Get More Eye's on Your Articles

So you just finished writing this brilliant article that everyone's gonna love, but you're not done yet. You wouldn't plan a party and not tell anyone about it would you? Same thing goes when you're writing articles. Rookies have the "if you build it they will come" mentality. Don't be a rookie.
As soon as you get done writing your article, you should have a few methods you use to create awareness about said article. There are tons and tons of ways to do this, but here are three ways that should get a wave of visitors to see what it is you have to say.
Numero Uno: Social Media
I know it's a broad term because there's just to many new things coming out that nobody with bills has time to keep up with. I'm just speaking about the main ones. You know Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc... You'll want to have a presence on at least two starting out.
Now once your accounts are set up, this is what you do with that brilliant article that you just finished. If you're on Facebook, don't just send it to friends and family (you may not want to send it to em at all) join groups relevant to the topic of your article and drop a link. Same with the rest of the social sites.
Now there's a certain science that goes with link dropping and an etiquette unique to each social site that has to be observed. It get's just a tad complex but here's the main thing. Always participate in the discussion. Make yourself relevant within these mediums by connecting with people and actively participating in whatevers going on within that community.
Numero Dos: YouTube/Video Marketing

Video works well. Extremely well. Savvy webmasters who test the metrics of their site have found that putting up videos can increases sales conversions exponentially.
Start a YouTube channel and start making videos. The don't have to be long at all. In fact, I would say if you're using video to solely promote an article, I would say keep it under 2 minutes (maybe even shorter).
All you do is quickly talk about the problem that your article solves, (that means before you even reference the article) and then plug your article at the end of the video and leave a link in the description and or the actual video.
That's it. You could take it even further and leave the article or blog link in all of the videos you make (you should strive to make a couple a month to build your YouTube audience).
And Hey, don't be shy. A lot of folks are camera shy, but you will never get over it if you don't start making them right away. With enough practice, you'll be able to deliver an effective message with conviction on YouTube.
Numero Tres: Blog Comments
Another thing you should be doing is finding blogs that are relevant to your topic, read some of the work, and leave a thoughtful comment with a link at the end of it.
The key word is THOUGHTFUL. Don't just go to someones blog and say "hey good job. now go read my stuff here" You actually have to take the time to form an opinion on the piece you're commenting on.
That's really all you do and the benefits are plentiful. But the most valuable thing you get from this action is a potential relationship with the blog earner. That means a beneficial relationship that involves guest posting to build your credibility, someone who comments on your blog and share your articles further elevating your name, and all the perks that come along with it.
Wrap up:
A few quick things. First, stop wondering why I chose to do my numbers in Spanish because I don't even know. Second, there's something special that these web 2.0 tactics all do for you that will ultimately be a big reason your article gets traffic. That special thing is backlinks. All the above tactics link back to yours site making search engines more likely to find you thus making it easier for your target reader to find you.
Promoting your articles is simple work when you let it work for you. All it takes is a little grinding in the beginning, and that concentrated effort will have a snow ball effect creating a big demand for your articles and the joy they bring.
