7 Steps to Attract New Clients by Writing Articles

Would you like to get more clients? How about clients who'll be glad to pay you more money? Think about what it might take to get there. And read on for a seven-step process in which article marketing will help you accomplish that.

In order to get more clients, it helps if those prospective clients have a way to find you. Sure, you're doing all the usual networking, but you can't possibly reach all the people you could potentially be working with. And these days, when someone is looking for a new service, guess where they go.

No, they won't be going to your local networking meeting. At least most of them won't. They go online, probably to Google.

And you want to make sure that they'll find YOU when they do.
And not only that, but when they find you, they'll need to be convinced that you're someone they want to do business with. And the way to convince them is to build a relationship with them.
So how will articles help you with that? Follow these seven steps and if you do it correctly, you'll soon find yourself with more clients.

  1. You write articles that are optimized for the kinds of words and phrases your customers use when they're looking for what you offer.
  2. You publish them on an authority site that gets high rankings on Google. The best one is EzineArticles.com
  3. Some of your articles will appear on the first page of Google when your prospective clients are looking for the keywords you used.
  4. Your prospects will see them when they look for your services -- and articles provide information, so they're likely to check them out. Besides, they'll make you look like an authority on the subject, so they'll inspire trust.
  5. At the bottom of each article, there's a resource box, and if you've written a good article and have added an enticing offer, your future clients are likely to click on your link and go to your website. Either that, or they'll sign up for your mailing list.
  6. Your website must be appealing, of course, and should also provide an incentive to join your mailing list. So if they haven't signed up before, the goal is to get them to do so now.
  7. You have set up an automated mailing system that will send your prospective clients valuable information on a regular basis -- plus the occasional great offer. That will build a relationship with them, and by the time you meet them, they'll feel like they've known you for ages.
